Woman scams lakhs of rupees in the name of media

RSD- Vemulawada news: Vemulawada ASP Seshadrini Reddy disclosed the details and said that a woman named Chokkarapu Vanaja D/o Mallaiah from Chinthalatana village, was cheating people saying that since last few years she is working in print and electronic media and she used to make the youths from neighboring villages around Vemulawada as reporters in the print & electronic media by saying deceitful words that she has many big government officials in the district in contact, she made people to believe that the government officials will do whatever she says in Rajannasircilla district, and gave the accreditation cards and said that through this card, people can get the double bedroom houses, house plots and assigned lands belonging to the government and cheated Rondi Chandraiah of Malyala village in the year 2019 with Rs. 16 lakhs. A poor farmer Arutla Adi Mallaiah of Ramannapet village in Chandurthi mandal by believing that he would be given three acres of agricultural land in the suburbs of Sarampelli village in Tangallapally mandal was cheated by her with Rs. 10 lakhs. Vemulawada ASP said that on the complaint of cheated victims, a case was registered at Chandurthi Police Station and the accused and Pesari Srinivasa of Mallyala village who helped the accused were arrested and sent to remand. Vemulawada ASP said that if there are any victims who have been cheated by Chokkala Vanaja, they should file a complaint at the nearest police station and we will stand by the victims and provide full cooperation.
