Protecting soil is our responsibility – Helping Hearts Welfare Society

Helping Hearts Project Coordinator Elagandula Parameshwar at the World Environment Day Conference with the Helping Hearts Welfare Society in Kishtaravu Peta village in Illantakunta zone has organized an awareness seminar to mark ‘World Environment Day’.

Village Sarpanch Musku Mallya was the chief guest at the event. He said that we all have a responsibility that is to protect the soil. He also said that man’s survival is possible only if the land where rice is planted and protected. The soil would lose its essence due to spraying of artificial fertilizers, chemicals and drugs which damages the environment. And asked everyone to take responsibility for planting seedlings and plant 6 seedlings per household. On this occasion plants were distributed and planted in the village.

Elagandula Parameshwar, project coordinator of the Helping Hearts charity, said that farming with organic fertilizers contributes immensely to the land and climate balance. He said that people should voluntarily give up the use of plastic and polythene covers. Caring for the plants would be a sign of assurance for our lives and the physical and mental health of future generations.

Helping Hearts is also setting up awareness programs among farmers on soil fertility, crop rotation and organic farming.

The event was attended by Village Sarpanch Musku Mallya and Board Member and Village Secretary Samir Mandal Swachh Bharat Advisor Prem Kumar, Asha workers, VOs and members Anjaneyulu, Naresh, Bhumaya, Srikanth, Kishan, Raju, Anjaneyulu, Rajita, Anjavva and others.
