RSD-Gambhiraopet news: Those trapped at the Upper Maneru project at Narmala in Gambhiraopet mandal were closely monitored moved safely. Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha and SP Mahesh B. Gite, who provided special services to those stranded at the project until they were safely taken home, were praised as great officers, and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay expressed special congratulations to them.Farmers Jangam Swami, Pitla Swami, Pitla Mahesh, Pitla Narsimlu, Dhyanaboyina Swami, and two others Bise Pradeep and Bise Chaya, who had gone to graze their cattle on the other side of the Upper Maneru project at Narmala, got stuck there, while the Collector and SP intensified relief efforts. Food was provided to those stranded through army helicopters.Military helicopters reached those stranded at the project in Hakimpet itself and brought them to their destination safely.Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas have been regularly inquiring about the condition of those stranded at the project. They have instructed the authorities to provide them with assistance. On 28.08.2025 morning, Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas, Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha and SP Mahesh B Gite closely monitored the situation. Later, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay reached the spot and met with those who had reached safely.Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha and SP Mahesh B Gite reached the spot after learning that they were stranded at the project and were facing difficulties. They were there from 2 am on 27.08.2025. The Collector and SP closely monitored Praveen, who was trapped in a stream in Lingannapet, until he was safely brought to the shore and provided advice and guidance to the NDRF team. On 28.08.2025 morning, the Collector and SP again reached the Upper Maneru project and monitored the situation from time to time. They inquired about the water level in the project and how much water was coming from above. They gave courage to those trapped at the project. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief as seven people reached their destination safely. The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay, called Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha and SP Mahesh B Gite great officers who worked hard to move everyone safely after learning about the incident.
