Major accident narrowly averted in Sircilla

RSD- Chandrampeta news: A major accident was narrowly averted on 28.12.2025 at the Chandrampeta sharp turn in Rajanna Sircilla district headquarters. A ‘Ganesh Borewells’ lorry, driven at high speed and negligently, lost control and crashed forcefully into a Hanuman temple located on the roadside. Due to the speed of the borewell vehicle, the temple wall was completely destroyed. Since there were no devotees at the temple at the time of the accident, a major tragedy was averted. Locals are expressing anger, stating that the incident occurred due to the driver’s negligence. Locals breathed a sigh of relief as it was sunday. This area is usually very busy. Many people sell corn cobs here for their livelihood. However, since it was sunday and there was no one there at the time of the accident, no lives were lost. Locals expressed their fear and anxiety, saying that the situation would have been much worse if the incident had occurred during a busy time. Passengers are expressing their concern that vehicles frequently speed at this turn, leading to accidents. They are urging the authorities to immediately respond and install warning signs in the area, and also take measures to control the speed of vehicles.
