Enforcement of police act within district

RSD-Sircilla news: With the maintenance of law and order in mind, the District Superintendent of Police (SP) announced that the Police Act specifically the Police Act of 1861 will remain in force throughout the district for a period of one month (from April 1st to April 30th). Accordingly, he stated that no dharnas, road blockades, protests, rallies, public meetings, assemblies, or gatherings may be organized without prior permission from police officials. Furthermore, he emphasized that the use of DJ systems in violation of established regulations is strictly prohibited. He issued a directive against undertaking any unlawful activities that could disrupt public peace and order or cause damage to government property. Consequently, he urged the residents of the district to cooperate with the police regarding this matter, calling upon people from all sections of society to extend their support to the police force, which works tirelessly to safeguard law and order.
