Grievance Day Held at Sircilla District Police Office… SP Mahesh B. Gite Receives 21 Complaints

RSD_Rajanna Sircilla: With the objective of resolving victims’ issues, the weekly Grievance Day program was held today at the District Police Office, said District SP Mahesh B. Gite.

A total of 21 complaints were received from petitioners from various parts of the district during today’s Grievance Day. The SP called the concerned police station officers over the phone and directed them to resolve the victims’ problems legally and expeditiously.

Speaking on the occasion, the SP said that the main goal is to bring police services closer to the public and to work towards solving public issues. He instructed that police officers and staff should behave courteously with complainants who visit police stations, receive their petitions and complaints, examine them at the field level if necessary, and ensure justice is done to the victims as per law. This will build trust and confidence among complainants in the police department, he said.

He added that complaints received on Grievance Day are entered online and reviewed from time to time to provide more efficient services. People can directly bring their problems to the notice of officers through Grievance Day, ensuring their speedy resolution, the SP stated.
