Ensure Transparent Police Services to Public: SP Mahesh B. Gite
RSD_Sircilla: District SP Mahesh B. Gite conducted a surprise inspection of Thangallapally Police Station on Friday.During the inspection, the SP reviewed the details of cases registered under the station limits, progress of investigation of pending cases, maintenance of station records, implementation of the patrolling system, and surveillance on rowdy-sheeters and criminals.Speaking on the occasion, SP said that technology should be used effectively to provide better police services to the public. He directed officials to respond immediately to every complaint received at the police station and ensure transparent services.He said visible policing plays a crucial role in instilling a sense of security among the public. Officers and staff should frequently visit their allotted villages, maintain cordial relations with the people, understand their problems and work towards their resolution, he instructed.Night patrolling in villages should be further intensified and strict action should be taken with continuous surveillance on thefts, ganja smuggling and other anti-social activities, he said. To prevent youth from falling prey to drugs and cyber crimes, special awareness programmes should be conducted in villages, schools and colleges on the ill-effects of drugs and precautions to be taken against cyber crimes, he suggested. Top priority should be given to prevention of road accidents, with daily vehicle checking, drunk and drive checks and special drives on helmet and seat-belt usage, he ordered.DSP Nagendra Chari, CI Nageshwar Rao, SI Ashok and staff were present.
