Accused sentenced 5 years in attempt murder case

RSD- Vemulawada news: Assistant Sessions Court Judge Ajay Kumar Jadhav announced the verdict on 12.06.2025, imposing a sentence of 05 years in prison and a fine of Rs 400/- on the accused in the attempt to murder case, Vemulawada Rural CI Srinivas said. Speaking on this occasion, the CI said that on 25-10-2020, a person named Vemula Sai Charan, son of Vemula Suma, of Tadagonda village, Boinapalli mandal, had come to the Dussehra celebrations at the Venkateswara temple in the village. A person named Katta Gangaraju s/o Chandrayya, of the same village, had consumed alcohol and tried to kill Charan with a cement brick. Charan’s mother, Vemula Suma, filed a complaint at the Boinapalli police station. The then SI Srinivas registered a case. The investigating officers, CIs Naveen Kumar and Bansilal, filed a charge sheet in the court after the investigation. CMS SI Ravindra Naidu, Constable Madhusudhan, and Court Constable Rajendra Prasad presented witnesses in the court. Additional Public Prosecutor Raji Reddy argued on behalf of the prosecution. After examining the background of the case, Assistant Sessions Court Judge Ajay, Vemulawada Rural CI Srinivas said that the accused Kumar Jadhav has been sentenced to 05 years in prison and a fine of Rs. 400. The District SP specially congratulated the then investigating officers CIs Naveen, Bansilal, SI Srinivas, current CI Srinivas, SI Rajkumar, Additional Public Prosecutor Raji Reddy, CMS SI Ravindra Naidu, CMS Constable Madhusudhan and Court Constable Rajendra Prasad, who worked hard to ensure that the accused in the case was punished.
