Central CPS announcement is incorrect
RSD- Sircilla news: Telangana Teachers Union District President Kondikoppula Ravi and General Secretary Tadukala Suresh said in a statement that there is no reason for the Center to announce the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) in place of CPS in the country as the UPS system will harm the employees. Speaking on this occasion, they made it clear that they do not accept the implementation of UPS in place of CPS. The Center has revealed that the employees who have completed 25 years of service will get 50% pension guarantee and will give 50% pension to the families of the employees who died in service but said that it is sad that the cancellation of pension scheme is not mentioned. He said that only if the old pension system of giving 50 percent pension based on service without paying a single rupee is restored, the employees and their families will benefit. He said that if the central government will not withdraw the announcement of implementation of UPS, then the state governments will also think of implementing UPS. Congress has clearly promised to abolish CPS in its manifesto and urged the state government to abolish the CPS system and implement the old pension system.
