Distribution of Siricilla sarees to SHG members a matter of pride

RSD- Sircilla news: It is a matter of pride that the sarees prepared in Siricilla under Indira Mahila Shakti will be distributed to SHGs (members of women’s groups) in the state. Government Whip, Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas said that steps have been taken to supply quality sarees so that members of women’s organizations can tie them with self-respect. On 23.06.2025, Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas inspected the quality of Indira Mahila Shakti sarees at the Indiranagar Agricultural Market Yard in Sircilla town. Later, he attended the saree product collection program along with Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha. Speaking on the occasion, Government Whip Adi Srinivas said that the public government is working on the welfare of weavers and farmers as an agenda, and that 9 thousand crore rupees have been deposited in the accounts of farmers under the monsoon crop investment in a period of 9 days. He said that the government is committed to the welfare of weavers and that they are working sincerely from the Collector to the Handloom and Textiles Minister and the Chief Minister. He said that his public government has also paid the pending dues to the Sircilla textile industry in full. He reminded that every cloth order made in the government sector is given to handloom workers, and the government has decided to provide better sarees to women without any regard for money, and the government has given the order to the handloom workers. He said that it is a matter of pride to distribute Indira Mahila Shakti sarees made in Sircilla to the members of women’s associations in the state. He said that the government is satisfied in providing work to handloom workers and Assamese. He said that the government has waived off loans of one lakh rupees to handloom workers and released yarn subsidy arrears. He said that the government has decided to distribute good sarees to increase the self-esteem of women. He said that the target of producing 4 crore 30 lakh meters of sarees should be completed by August 15th 2025. He said that the government is working to solve the problems of handloom workers. He said that the problem of electricity arrears has also been resolved. He said that the government is working with the aim of saving weavers and the power loom sector. He said that the people have set up a yarn depot, which has been a dream for decades.
Rajanna Sircilla district will remain a religious work field. He said that the government is committed to the development of Vemulawada temple. He said that the government has allocated Rs 150 crore for the development of Vemulawada temple in the state budget so far. He said that the development work of Rs 47 crore 98 lakh has been accelerated. He said that permission for the development of the temple was given and tenders have been called for the expansion work of the temple to 4 acres with Rs 76 crore. He said that the government is preparing plans to collect Rs 5 crore and Rs 3 crore from the associations for the construction of Padmasali Bhavan. Later, Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha said that the order of sarees allocated by the state government to the handloom workers of Sircilla should be completed and provided on time. He said that half the order delivery should be completed by the end of June 2025, that the yarn required by the handloom workers would be received from the Vemulawada depot, that the government would distribute the handloom sarees provided by the workers to the members of women’s associations, and that the government would release the relevant funds as soon as the saree order was completed. He said that all the handloom workers should successfully distribute the saree order provided to the Sircilla textile industry under the Indira Mahila Shakti program.
