Farmers should be informed about the losses caused by excessive use of urea

RSD- Konraopet news: Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha warned that strict action will be taken if the managers of fertilizer and pesticide shops create a shortage of fertilizers. A surprise inspection was conducted on 05.08.2025 at the Gromore Fertilizer Shop, Gowri Shankar Fertilizer, and Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society Limited centers and godowns in Konaraopet mandal center. It should be available according to the needs of farmers. It was advised that urea bags should be brought in advance and made available according to the needs of farmers. He ordered that fertilizers should be made available according to the number of acres farmers are cultivating, and that agricultural officials and shop managers should explain to farmers the losses caused by excessive use of urea. He said that alternative arrangements for urea should be explained. The Collector clarified that there is no shortage of urea in the district. He warned that strict action will be taken if the owners create an artificial shortage. It was suggested that stock registers should be maintained properly and CCTV cameras should be installed immediately in the godowns where there are none. District Agriculture Officer Afzal Begum, Revenue and Agriculture Department officials and others participated in this program.
