Fulfill Promises by Sept 17 or Face Statewide Stir… Warns JAC Chairman Gajjela Devaraju

RSD_Sircilla: Telangana Udyamakrula JAC District Chairman Gajjela Devaraju has set a September 17 deadline for the state government to recognize Telangana activists and implement all promises made to them.

Speaking in Sircilla, Devaraju warned that if the demands are not met, a statewide agitation will be launched under the slogan “Udyamakarula Kosam Udyamam” (Movement for the Agitators).

He made the statement after visiting ailing activist Mekala Ramachandram of B.Y. Nagar, Sircilla. The JAC team enquired about his health and provided financial assistance. Devaraju noted that Ramachandram played a crucial role in the Telangana movement through relay fasts, Sakala Janula Samme and Vanta Varpu programs.

He said it is distressing that the very people who fought for Telangana are now facing financial difficulties. He alleged that the Congress government had promised 250 sq. yards house site, monthly pension, withdrawal of cases, and jobs to the families of martyrs in its manifesto, but has been delaying them for three years in the name of committees.

JAC leaders Akkenapelli Karunakar, Kusapelli Saraswati, Singaram Devaraju, Karne Lakshmi and others were present.
