Local elections in Telangana soon?
RSD-Hyderabad news: In the wake of the upcoming rural local body election schedule, the state government issued orders on 16.07.2025 finalizing the ZPP, ZPTC and MPTC MPP seats.Medchal, Malkajgiri, Zilla Parishads have been removed from the list of ZPPs and ZPPs after they were converted into urban districts. The Election Commission has ordered the collectors to prepare election personnel. The state has 31 ZPPs, 556 MPPs, 566 ZPTs, 5,773 MPTCs, 12,778 Gram Panchayats, 1,12,696 wards, an official order has been issued.On the other hand, the Telangana government has ordered the Panchayat Raj department staff to make everything ready for the local body elections and has advised them to keep the necessary equipment available for the elections.
