Major fire accident in Old Basti Diwandevi
RSD-Hyderabad news: Fire accidents continue to occur frequently in Old Basti. This is keeping the city residents awake at night. They are worried about when and from where a fire will break out. The latest major fire accident occurred in Old Basti Diwandevi near Charminar in the early hours of 10.02.2025 morning. A fire broke out suddenly in a clothing shop on the fourth floor. Upon receiving information, the police and fire brigade personnel rushed to the scene. The fire brigade brought the fire under control. Traders said that the fire spread to several shops in a row, causing property damage. More than 30 clothing shops caught fire. 20 fire engines reached the scene and brought the fire under control. As the Ramadan festival approaches, clothing shop owners have brought in new stock.They are expressing their grief over the heavy damage caused in the fire. Police and fire personnel have intensified rescue operations. Initial assessment is that the property damage has been heavy. Police believe that the fire was caused due to a short circuit. A case has been registered and an investigation has been launched.
