Man hangs himself while on a video call at Venkatapur

RSD- Venkatapur news: A man committed suicide by hanging himself from a fan while on a live video call with his colleagues in Dubai. According to local residents, Ponnala Sanjeev Reddy (31), a resident of Venkatapur village in Elladipeta mandal, was deeply distressed due to mounting debts and conflicts. On 08.01.2026 night at 11:30 PM, he went to his bedroom, locked the door, and while on a video call with his contacts in Dubai, he hanged himself from the ceiling fan. His family members were immediately alerted by those on the video call. They broke down the door and found him hanging lifelessly from the fan. The family members were devastated and wept inconsolably. The deceased is survived by his wife and a daughter. The police were informed, and the body was shifted to the Siricilla Area Hospital for post-mortem examination.
