National survey on domestic travel

RSD- Sircilla news: As part of the implementation of national statistical schemes, the officials conducted a survey on domestic travel expenditure in Sircilla town on 20.08.2025. Based on the survey conducted in Sircilla town, a satellite account will be opened to measure goods and services and a Travel Tourism Development Index will be prepared and submitted to the Ministry of Tourism, said National Statistics Officer Karimnagar Head of Office Govardhana Srinivasa Rao. The National Survey on Domestic Travel will be conducted for the first time in the country to collect information on the travel behaviour of people to obtain complete information on the use of public transport and a true destination matrix will be prepared for the development of the infrastructure plan and public transport system in favor of the Railway Ministry. The NSO will use the collected family information for development planning and policy formulation without disclosing it. Since false information can lead to mistakes in government administration, Govardhana Srinivasa Rao, Head of Office Karimnagar, requested the people to provide correct information and cooperate. Sircilla Municipal Commissioner MD Kadir Pasha was present at the event.
