To curb this menace, the district police department is taking special measures. Cases are being registered across the state against individuals and influencers who promote illegal betting apps. The SP also mentioned that online betting and gaming apps are operated under specific regulations, and investing money in them could lead to financial and personal risks. He warned that many of these gaming apps contain dangerous malware, and fake links could steal personal and financial information. Therefore, people should be cautious while using such apps. Strict action will be taken against anyone promoting these illegal betting apps on social media. The public, especially the youth, are urged to stay alert and report such activities to the police for necessary legal action.
