SHE team caught women harassers at college
RSD-Illanthakunta news: The SP said that on the information that some hooligans were driving rashly on bikes and causing trouble to the students at the Illanthakunta Mandal Government College. Police kept vigilance in disguise at the college and took the two hooligans into custody and registered a case. The SP warned that strict measures should be taken against those who harass women and students even in social media. On this occasion, SP said that District She Team was informed that students were causing trouble by driving rashly on bikes in the morning and evening at the Government Junior College under Illanthakunta mandal. 01.10.2024 evening, while the staff of the District She Team was in mufti at the college, they caught two persons red handed who were causing trouble by driving rashly on bikes. A case has been registered against them.The district police department has taken strong measures in the matter of protection of women and small children, the she team staff are keeping a constant vigil in the crowded places of the educational institutions in the district and 37 cases have been registered against hooligans harassing women and students this year, 42 cases have been registered and counseling has been conducted in the presence of their parents. He said that 22 people harassing women and schoolgirls were detained and counseled at the district police office within three months and warned that strict action will be taken if they commit harassment again.
