Every motorist must follow road safety rules

RSD-Vemulawada news: To prevent road accidents and create awareness among motorists on road safety, Vemulawada Additional SP held a meeting with the members of the Heavy Vehicles Association at the Rajarajeshwari Function Hall in Vemulawada town limits and gave directions on the rules to be followed to prevent road accidents. Speaking on the occasion, Vemulawada Additional SP called upon every motorist to act responsibly and follow road safety rules and avoid road accidents. He said that due to reckless driving and driving of vehicles that are not in good condition, road accidents are happening regularly and many are losing their precious lives. He said that most of the road accidents are happening due to mistakes like rash driving, driving under the influence of alcohol, overloading, traveling on the wrong route, and driving vehicles that are not in good condition. Drivers of heavy vehicles should take proper rest during long journeys, which can prevent accidents, and every motorist should check the condition of their vehicles from time to time. They should load vehicles within the limit, and they warned that strict action will be taken if they drive recklessly while drinking alcohol and talking on a cell phone. Every motorist must follow road safety rules, he reminded, and driving is not just a profession, it is linked to the future of many families. Every driver should act responsibly. Later, he took a pledge with the drivers to follow road safety rules. Earlier, while checking vehicles at the Tippapur bus stand, a vehicle that was recklessly transporting dust in a tipper, contrary to the rules, was seized and taken to the station. Town Inspector Veera Prasad, SIs Rammohan, Raju, and members of the association participated in this meeting.
