Comprehensive plan for development of Rajanna Temple
RSD- Vemulawada news: Government Whip, Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas said that they will prepare a comprehensive plan for the development of Vemulawada Sri Rajarajeswara Swamy temple and move ahead. Vemulawada Sri Rajarajeswara Swamy temple samples were examined and Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha along with the temple officials held a review meeting on the development works of the temple at the EO guest house of the temple on 07.09.2024. On this occasion, Government Whip, Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas spoke and explained that measures are being taken to provide quick darshan and better accommodation to the devotees of Vemulawada Sri Rajarajeswara Swamy, which is the largest Shaivite temple in the state known as Dakshina Kashi. He said that steps will be taken to create a pleasant atmosphere. He clarified that the development works of the temple will be taken up as per the instructions of Sringeri Peetha, scholars and devotees.
The Whip reminded that when they visited the Sringeri Peetha in the past, they said that they should come up with a model for the expansion of the temple. The state government has already got Rs. 50 crores sanctioned. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that he has paid special attention to the expansion of the temple. In this order, he will soon visit the Sringeri Peetha and take samples of the expansion of the temple with Sri Vidhusekhara Bharti Swami, the head of the Sringeri Peetha, and according to their suggestions, the expansion will be carried out following Agama Shastra. He said that the temple will be expanded so that the spirituality will flourish.
Debate on Cancellation of G.O.No. 149
During the previous government’s tenure, they discussed the cancellation of G.O. No. 149, which was given for new constructions within 1000 meters (kilometer) in the vicinity of Vemulawada Rajanna Temple.. It was stated that due to this G.O., the town did not develop at the level expected in the vicinity of the temple. Government will take notice of the cancellation of G.O. No.149. He clarified that the government will go ahead with the development of Vemulawada town as well as the temple.
