Panchayat election notification in 10 days

RSD- Telangana news: The government is preparing for the Panchayat elections in the state. The notification will come within ten days. The cabinet has decided to hold elections to gram panchayats first, and the exercise has begun to that extent. The government will ask a special commission to finalize the reservations village wise so that the current 23 percent BC reservation and total reservations are within 50 percent. It is estimated that this commission will take a week to finalize the reservations. The election notification will be issued within two to three days of receiving the reservation list. This means that the voting festival will begin in the villages in ten days. Even though these elections are non-partisan, CM Revanth Reddy instructed the ministers to include at least 42 BCs among the party’s candidates for sarpanch and ward, and to give a maximum of 60 percent. He directed the MLAs and constituency in-charges to clearly state the same. CM Revanth said that the decision was taken in the context of the loss of Rs. 3,000 crores from the Finance Commission if these elections are not held before the end of the current financial year. In this context, he said that the process of Panchayat elections will be completed by December 15th 2025 and a proposal for funds will be sent to the Finance Commission. He said that we will work tirelessly for 42 percent reservation for BCs in Parishad and municipal elections. He said that depending on the High Court’s response on the local elections on the 24th of November 2025, it will be discussed and decision will be taken in the next cabinet meeting. Sarpanch candidates should be selected on the basis of victory. Revanth also sought the views of all the ministers on these issues. Since it was an issue related to funds of Rs. 3 thousand crores, everyone agreed to the CM’s proposals. With this, the cabinet decided to hold the panchayat elections as per the old reservation. The cabinet decided to take all measures to make the Telangana Global Summit to be organized by the government on December 8th and 9th 2025 a success. In this regard, the CM suggested setting up a control room in Praja Bhavan. A review was also conducted on the organization of the Prajapalana Victory Festival to be organized in the first week of December 2025. It was decided to hold the next cabinet meeting on the 29th of November 2025. It was resolved to discuss and take decisions on the comprehensive power policy in this meeting. After the cabinet meeting, the ministers sent officials and met separately. In this meeting, the victory in the Jubilee Hills by-election was discussed. He said that the government’s performance has received public approval with this victory. He said that the party and the government are gaining ground in the GHMC area and that a strong vote bank has been formed for the party in the form of Muslims, BCs and settlers. He expressed confidence that the party will be able to win the GHMC elections with the same enthusiasm. The CM opined that the ministers, party leaders and activists performed well in the by-election.
