Special cyber crime prevention training classes

RSD- Sircilla news: As per the orders of State DGP Jitender IPS a two-day training program was conducted with cyber experts for the staff and officers of Karimnagar, Sircilla, Jagtial and Siddipet districts on the issues to be addressed in cyber crime investigations. As part of this, on 29.04.2025, CDIT (CENTRAL DETECTIVE TRAINING INSTITUTE) Hyderabad and Rajanna Sircilla District Police jointly organized a two-day training program on ‘Cyber Crime Investigation’ for police officers and staff of Karimnagar, Sircilla, Jagtial and Siddipet districts under the cyber experts at the District Police Office. District SP Mahesh B. Gite IPS attended the program as the chief guest and inaugurated the training program. Later, the SP said that police officers and staff should be lifelong learners and increase their awareness about the frauds that occur in the society from time to time. In the current society, people are increasingly falling victim to cyber crimes, and the staff and officers should develop technological knowledge and prevent cyber crimes. He said that digital evidence plays a major role in punishing criminals who commit cyber frauds and misuse social media platforms to commit fraud. When a cyber crime occurs, they should take advantage of the training provided by cyber experts on issues such as registering a complaint, collecting digital evidence, and analyzing it, and work to punish cyber criminals. Police officers and staff should be widely aware of the people in the respective police stations to immediately report a complaint through the toll-free number 1930 if they are victims of cyber fraud. They said that they should be aware of digital policing along with physical policing.
People should take the following precautions to avoid falling prey to cyber crimes.
1. Do not click on suspicious links.
2. Do not share personal information (bank details, OTP, passwords) with anyone.
3. Ignore demands received through unknown phone calls or messages.
4. Do banking-related transactions only through official websites and apps.
4. Be careful about sharing personal details on social media.
5. In the current digital era, parents should focus on the online safety of children, and there should be constant parental supervision over the behavior of children.
6. Do not be fooled by online advertisements and invest.
