Clash at Marriage Hall in Sircilla : Case Filed Against Former Wife’s Family
RSD_Sircilla: Tension prevailed at a wedding hall in Shivanagar, Sircilla after a dispute broke out during a marriage ceremony.
Police said K. Shravan Kumar, a resident of BY Nagar, had lodged a complaint stating that his sister’s wedding was underway at Shivalayam in Shivanagar.
According to the complaint, his former wife Soumya from Godavarikhani, along with her parents, brother and others, allegedly entered the wedding hall. Shravan Kumar stated that he and Soumya had marital disputes earlier and cases filed by Soumya at Godavarikhani One Town Police Station are pending in court.
The complainant alleged that the group picked up an argument over why he was not taking Soumya back, abused and manhandled him and his relatives, and threatened to kill him.
Acting on the complaint, Sircilla Police have registered a case and investigation is underway.
