Two accused arrested for robbery, sent to remand
RSD- Vemulawada news: On this occasion, the inspector said that a woman named Badavat Timmi w/o Manohar, a resident of Eenayat Nagar village, Kammarpally mandal, Nizamabad district, came to Vemulawada for darshan at around 7:30 pm on 01-06-2025. A man stood at the auto stand in front of Tippapur bus stand and, by false pretenses, convinced her that he knew that her relatives were at the temple and that he would take her to the temple. He took her to the Peddamma Temple area on Chekkapalli Road in Vemulawada. When no one was there, he threatened her with a knife and robbed her of gold ornaments such as 3 grams of beads, 4 grams of earrings, 2 grams of ear chains and a guaranteed chain and cash of about 3000 rupees in her purse from her neck and fled. On 03-06-2025, as per the complaint filed by the victim, Vemulawada Town Police Station Inspector Veera Prasad registered a case and started an investigation. On 04.06.2025, based on the information received, the accused Bodasu Ashok r/o Ellampeta, Kamareddy was arrested and interrogated. He said that he had kept some of the stolen gold ornaments with him and hidden the rest with his friend Bommidi Ganesh. Two people were arrested on 05.06.2025 and 3 grams of beads, 4 grams of earrings, 2 grams of ear chains, a rolled gold chain, a knife, two cell phones, and an auto were seized from them and sent to remand. The accused, Bodasu Ashok r/o Ellampeta, Kamareddy, had earlier also stolen the Bajaj Pulsar wagon of Ela Surendar s/o Devaiah, age: 45 years, r/o Thornal(v) of Siddipet Mandal & Dist, by convincing him to go to the ATM from the Tippapur bus stand.

A-2 Bommidi Ganesh s/o Balayya, age: 25 years, r/o Rekurthi, Kothapalli mandal, Karimnagar district, current residence Jatara Ground, Vemulawada town.
The District SP congratulated Vemulawada Inspector Veera Prasad, Head Constable Latha, Constables Gopal and Samiuddin for catching the accused within 24 hours.
