Weaver committed suicide in district headquarters

RSD-Sircilla news: Another weaver committed suicide due to lack of employment, family was not able to survive, illness and burden of debt. According to the details given by Sircilla Town Sub-Inspector Srinivas Rao, Valasa Ramesh (45) from Sundarayyanagar in the town used to work as a weaver and support his family. He broke his leg two years ago and took out loans for treatment. Since then, due to his poor health and inability to work, he became addicted to alcohol. He had incurred debts of about Rs. 4 lakh and was depressed because he did not know how to repay them. In this sequence, he became frustrated with life and committed suicide by jumping into Kargil Lake in the town on 21.06.2025. The SI said that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway based on the complaint of his wife Lavanya.
