ZPHS student selected for South India level science exhibition

RSD-Dammanapet news: Eeraboyina Nandini, a 9th-grade student from Dammanapet Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) in Rajanna Sircilla district, has brought pride to her school and district by being selected for the prestigious South India level science exhibition. Nandini will be showcasing her innovative invention, “Smart Road Cone,” prepared under the guidance of her guide teacher Thaduri Sampath Kumar, at the South India level science exhibition to be held from the 19th to the 23rd of January 2026 at Guardian International School in Kollur, Sangareddy district. This Smart Road Cone has been designed as a solution to social problems such as traffic congestion, pollution caused by vehicles, and rising road temperatures during the summer. This invention possesses unique features such as reducing road temperature with minimal water usage and assisting in traffic control. It is noteworthy that Nandini secured first place in the state-level science exhibition held in Kamareddy on the 7th, 8th, and 9th of January 2026, showcasing her talent and earning her selection for the South India level competition. In this five-day competition, Nandini will be presenting her project alongside the best innovations from six states of South India. The school principal, the teaching staff, and the villagers congratulated Nandini and her guide teacher Sampath Kumar for Nandini’s commendable performance at this level, especially as a student from a rural government school, and extended their best wishes for her to achieve even greater success in the future.
