Uniqueness of Breastfeeding should be widely promoted
RSD- Sircilla news: District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha has directed the concerned officials to widely publicize the uniqueness of mother’s milk through weekly programs that the mother’s milk is the protection for child. On 01.08.2024, District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha inaugurated the Mother’s Milk Week program organized under the District Welfare Department at Sircilla Civil Hospital. On this occasion, District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha said that according to the schedule set by the government, every program of mother milk week should be organized effectively in our district. He said that from August 1st to August 7th, the benefits of breastfeeding should be explained to all the pregnant women in the district through the program of breastfeeding week, and every child born should be given only breast milk for six months. The district collector said that it helps to increase immunity and this topic should be widely communicated to pregnant women. On the occasion of the inauguration of Mother’s Milk Week, the district collector distributed fruits to the babies in the hospital. After that, the collector inspected the surroundings of the Sircilla hospital and ordered the concerned officials to give priority to sanitation in the hospital to keep the surroundings of the hospital clean.
