Today, the Commissioner of Police held a video conference with district SPs on the action to be taken against cybercrime and on the CoE (Center of Excellence) concept on Cyber Safety and Security with the IT industry, research institutes and educational institutions and other organizations.
Speaking on the occasion, the DGP said that there is a great need for cybercrime units in the pace of increasing cybercrime across the country in line with the growing technology. That is why the police department has specially designed a cyber-warrior in every police station. Investigator’s Directory for Cyber Warriors Series 3.0 has been launched as a book that aims at curbing cybercrime and educating people at all levels, including police officers at all levels, on cybercrime. The DGP said that book covers a wide range of topics covered by experienced cyber experts.
