RSD-Karimnagar news: District Collector Pamela Satpathi said that women should participate in the meeting on Friday and increase their awareness about their health and child nutrition. The meeting was held on Friday under the Women Development and Child Welfare Department at the Gopalpur Anganwadi Center in Karimnagar Rural Mandal. Speaking at the program, District Collector Pamela Satpathi said that through the Friday meetings, every woman at the village level is becoming aware of nutrition, health and other issues. She said that the woman is able to know how her children are being nourished along with her.She said that Anganwadi teachers will make different play items with creativity and teach good habits and discipline to children. She said that good results are being obtained with the different programs being implemented in government schools in the district and parents should definitely attend the teacher’s meeting. She said that tests for all diseases like BP sugar and pills will be given free of cost in primary health centers. He said that if those who use medicines every month inform the health staff, they will provide them at their doorstep. He suggested that every woman in the village should undergo free medical check-ups. Municipal Commissioner Prapul Desai said that women should take advantage of the Arogya Mahila program. He said that many of those who underwent free tests as part of this program were diagnosed early and thus recovered after receiving free medical services. Anganwadi children impressed the audience by telling stories and songs. Pregnant and lactating women expressed their views in the assembly. District Welfare Officer Saraswathi, District Medical Officer Venkataramana, CDPO Sabitha and other officials participated in the program.
