Community contact program aimed at maintaining law and order

RSD-Sircilla news: With the primary objective of maintaining law and order, and acting under the directives of the District Superintendent of Police (SP), a ‘Community Contact Program’ was organized on 07.04.2026 morning in the Sikh Wada area of Sircilla town, under the supervision of the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). During this initiative, 23 two-wheelers lacking proper documentation and number plates were seized. Additionally, cases were registered against Boyini Srinivas, Balvir Singh, and Chander Singh for operating unauthorized liquor outlets (known as ‘belt shops’) in violation of regulations, and 14 liters of liquor were confiscated from them. The DSP stated that this program is being conducted with the aim of ensuring public safety, instilling a sense of security among the residents, and curbing anti-social activities. He noted that this initiative also provides an opportunity to identify whether new individuals entering the locality or known criminals are seeking shelter in the area. He urged the public to immediately inform the police if they observe anyone behaving or moving about in a suspicious manner. Furthermore, he advised the youth to stay away from anti-social activities and encouraged parents to motivate their children to focus on their education. He urged anyone possessing information regarding the illicit trafficking, storage, or supply of marijuana to report it to the police, assuring that the identities of those providing such information would be kept strictly confidential. Furthermore, he advised residents to install CCTV cameras within their colonies for self-protection, stating that the Police Department would extend its full cooperation in this regard. He emphasized that CCTV cameras play a pivotal role in matters of security and in the prevention of crime. The DSP issued a stern warning that strict legal action would inevitably be taken against anyone who disrupts public order or engages in unlawful activities. Town CI Srinivas, SIs Srikanth and Upender, RSI Srinivas, and other police personnel participated in this program.
