Family counseling for resolving marital disputes

RSD- Sircilla news: On the occasion of World Health Day, renowned psychologist Kanukuntla Punnamchander organized a “Mind Care Awareness Program” under the aegis of the Mind Care and Counseling Center in Baddam Ellareddy Nagar, Sircilla. He stated that the primary objective of this program was to raise awareness regarding mental health among the workforce. Speaking on this occasion, Psychologist Punnamchander noted that in contemporary society, conflicts within family relationships are on the rise due to various factors such as changing lifestyles, work-related stress, financial difficulties, lack of time, and the impact of digital technology. He observed that minor misunderstandings arising between spouses often escalate into major problems due to ego clashes between the two individuals. He emphasized that if couples open up and communicate candidly with one another, their differences will dissipate, mutual harmony will flourish, and family bonds will be strengthened. He explained to the workers that the Mind Care Center offers family counseling services specifically aimed at resolving family disputes. He further stated that family counseling improves mutual communication between spouses, enhances emotional regulation, reduces anger and impulsiveness, and fosters the ability to resolve problems calmly and peacefully. He added that such counseling helps cultivate greater love, respect, and trust within the family unit. He pointed out that currently, many families experience major conflicts over trivial matters, and under these circumstances, the guidance of a neutral third party a psychologist who proves to be immensely beneficial. He suggested that instead of bearing family problems alone, one can easily find solutions by seeking expert advice. Emphasizing the importance of mental health, he stated that mental well-being must be safeguarded just as equally as physical health. He further noted that a happy family life is possible only when there is mental peace. Speaking on the occasion, Community Facilitator Vemula Markandeyulu urged everyone to make full use of the welfare schemes provided by the government. He specifically requested every worker to enroll in the Thrift and Nethanna Bima schemes. Community Facilitator Vemula Markandeyulu, Mind Care Center staff members Rapelli Latha, Boora Srimathi, and Konda Uma, along with the workers, participated in this program.
