Comprehensive investigation into Maneru Vagu check dam incident

RSD- Karimnagar news: The district administration and police department have responded seriously to the incident of damage to the check dam built on the Maneru Vagu in the outskirts of Tanugula village under the Karimnagar Police Commissionerate, Jammikunta town. On 24.11.2025, Karimnagar District Collector Pamela Satpati and Karimnagar Police Commissioner Ghaus Alam jointly visited the scene of the incident and reviewed the situation. It is known that this check dam was damaged on the night of November 21st 2025. But did this incident happen naturally due to the flow of water? Or did some unknown people deliberately commit sabotage? In the wake of the suspicions, a case has been registered at Jammikunta Police Station and an investigation is underway.
Scientific investigation – Clues team inspection:
As part of the inspection of the scene, a team led by Forensic Lab Assistant Director Venkat Raj, members of the Karimnagar Clues team, and fingerprint inspectors Raju and Swarnajyothi, along with the officials, conducted a thorough inspection there. On this occasion, the officials said that “We are conducting a full-scale investigation to uncover the real causes of this incident. We have collected samples from there with the help of technical experts. We will conduct the necessary tests on these in the laboratory and take further action after receiving a comprehensive report,” They warned that strict legal action will be taken if anyone is found responsible based on the report. Huzurabad ACP Madhavi, Peddapalli ACP Krishna, Inspectors Ramakrishna Goud and Lakshminarayana, along with SSIs Shekhar Reddy, Avula Tirupati, Irrigation Department officials and other officials and staff participated in these inspections.
