6000 special buses for Dusehra festival
RSD-Hyderabad news: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation will make available 6 thousand special buses in celebration of Dussehra festival, TGS RTC owner has decided to run special buses for Dussehra from Hyderabad suburbs.Special services will be made available from MGBS, JBS, LB Nagar, Uppal, Arangar, Santosh Nagar, KPHB, etc., for those going home. For the convenience of IT Corridor employees, it has planned to run buses to Vijayawada, Bangalore and other places via Gachibowli ORR.TGSRTC MD VC Sajjanar had a virtual meeting with his field level officials on special buses for Dussehra festival and facilities to be provided to passengers in congested areas. The efforts of the RTC employees in reaching the passengers safely to their destinations are appreciated.
He said that this time there is a possibility of more traffic due to the implementation of the Mahalakshmi scheme compared to the last Dasara, and he ordered the employees to take measures so that there are no problems in the movement of passengers like in the past. They want to keep special buses available depending on the traffic. He said that TGSRTC management has made all arrangements to avoid transportation problems for people in the background of Bathukamma and Dussehra festivals and 6000 special buses are running for these festivals. These special buses will be available for passengers from October 1st to 15th 2024, he explained. He said that advance reservation facility has been provided in these special buses. It is explained that these special buses run from Hyderabad and Secunderabad to all parts of the state as well as to the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra. Since the Dussehra festival is on October 12th 2024, there is a chance that there will be more traffic on the 9th, 10th and 11th October 2024, and more special buses should be run according to the requirements on those days. They want to talk to NHAI officials and take steps to allocate special lanes for RTC buses at the toll plaza.
