Thieves snatched woman’s gold chain arrested

RSD-Sircilla news: Speaking on this occasion, the Sircilla town inspector stated that on the night of March 17, 2026, within the limits of Sircilla town, in the Sainagar area, a woman named Mergu Latha stepped out of her house gate. Two unidentified individuals approached her, pretending to ask for directions they forcibly snatched the gold pendants from her neck and fled the scene on a two-wheeler. Based on Mergu Latha’s complaint, a case was registered. Utilizing CCTV footage, the accused were identified as Syed Moulana and Manguru Prakash Yadav. Acting on technical intelligence indicating that the accused were heading toward Sircilla, the police apprehended them at the Radugu crossroads. Two gold pendants (4.4 grams), a two-wheeler, and two mobile phones were seized from their possession, and the accused were remanded to judicial custody on 20.03.2026. The Inspector urged everyone to act responsibly by installing CCTV cameras for their own self-protection. He also requested that if anyone observes suspicious activity in villages or towns, they should immediately inform the police by dialing 100.
