Jagruthi President Kavitha Slams Govt Over Death of Temple bulls (Kodelu) at Vemulawada

Rajanna Sircilla ( RSD): Jagruthi President Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the government and BJP MP Bandi Sanjay during a media conference held in Vemulawada.

She expressed severe anger over the neglect of bulls (Kodelu) at the Vemulawada Rajanna Temple. She questioned whether the temple administration is sleeping while the bulls are dying due to lack of food and water. She directly questioned why MP Bandi Sanjay, who does politics in the name of God, is silent on the deaths of the temple bulls.

Kavitha demanded that concrete constructions should not be taken up inside the Rajanna temple and that permanent constructions should be done only with black stone as per Agama Shastra. She stated that there are Rs. 250 crores funds for temple development and the authorities should not wash off their hands with temporary concrete works.

She said devotees and locals are falling sick due to the stench from Rajanna Cheruvu and demanded its immediate cleaning. She also demanded the immediate commencement of underground drainage works in Vemulawada town.

In a sensational allegation, Kavitha said that Whip Adi Srinivas shifted the Sircilla Yarn Depot to Vemulawada only for political dominance. She termed it atrocious to put Sircilla weavers on the roads and cause them hardships.

She criticized that not a single drop of water has reached Sircilla and Vemulawada areas due to the Kaleshwaram project. She demanded completion of the Rudrangi reservoir and canal works pending since 2018 to provide irrigation to 63,000 acres and requested setting up a lift from the flood canal at Dhoompeta to provide water to lands in Vemulawada, Konaraopet and Chandurthi.
