Inter pass rate should increase says Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha

RSD-District news: Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha has ordered that the pass rate in all government colleges in the district should increase further. The Collector held a review meeting on 18.09.2025 with the principals of government junior, social, BC, tribal, minority welfare colleges, TG residential, model school and KGBV colleges in the district on various issues including intermediate education, preparing students for the upcoming public examinations, and various other issues. First of all, how many government colleges are there in the district? When the District Intermediate Education Officer was asked about the number of students studying, the DIEO brought to the attention of the Collector that there are a total of 42 government and 06 private junior colleges, and 4302 students are studying in the first year of Inter and 3874 in the second year, a total of 8176 students. Later, the number of students who passed last year in all the colleges was reviewed college by college. Details were sought from the principals of the colleges with low passing rates. Later, Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha spoke. He ordered that U DICE and FRS be completed in all the government colleges in the district by next week. He advised that the premises of all the residential colleges should be kept clean at all times and that quality meals should be provided to the students as per the menu. He ordered to pay special attention to each student, to make them master all the subjects, to get past question papers and practice with the students, and to make good use of the un-academy classes. He advised to move forward as per the plan to increase the pass percentage in the upcoming public examinations. He ordered the District Intermediate Education Officer to inspect each college. He advised that the heads of schools facing problems with forest animals and monkeys should bring them to the attention of the District Intermediate Education Officer for solar fencing.
