RSD_Man sentenced to 2 years in jail in two theft cases

RSD-Sircilla news: Siricilla Town CI Krishna stated that Siricilla First Class Magistrate Praveen pronounced the verdict on 21.01.2026, sentencing the accused to two years in jail in two theft cases. A man named Kommu Mallayya, a resident of Dharmaram village in Konaraopeta mandal, came to Siricilla on June 12, 2025, in the morning. He parked his vehicle in front of Praveen Electricals shop near the old bus stand and went to a hospital in Karimnagar. Upon his return, he found his vehicle missing and filed a complaint at the Siricilla Town Police Station. SI Muralidhar Goud registered the case. Gowrishetty Srinivasan, a resident of Reddywada, who earns his living through business, parked his bike in front of his house in Reddywada after returning home on the night of August 12, 2025. When he checked again around 10 PM that night, his bike was missing. He immediately filed a complaint at the Siricilla Town Police Station. The then SI Muralidhar Goud registered the case and, as part of the investigation, identified Mohammed Irfan from Thangallapalli as the accused in both theft cases. He was arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Subsequently, a charge sheet was filed in court, and under the supervision of CMS SI Shravan, court constable Vemula Naresh presented 10 witnesses in court for the two cases. Public Prosecutor Chelumala Sandeep argued on behalf of the prosecution, and after examining the details of the case, Judge Praveen sentenced the accused, Imran, to two years of imprisonment and a fine of 200 rupees in both cases, as informed by Siricilla Town CI Krishna.
