CESS Government girl’s college celebrates Bahukamma festival

RSD- Sircilla news: On 24.09.2025, the Telangana state festival of Bathukamma was celebrated with great pomp and show at the local CESS government girl’s college, Sircilla. The students made beautiful Bathukammas and sang songs. Retired degree lecturer and vice president of the welfare society, Mrs. Jhansi Shukla, was the chief guest of the program and explained the special and greatness of the Bathukamma festival to the students. She congratulated the students who performed beautiful Bathukammas. She said that with the blessings of Goddess Durga, the students should excel in their studies and bring good name to the college. The students who sang Bathukamma songs were given prizes. The Principal of the college, Mrs. G. Vanaja Kumari, said that the Bathukamma festival, which is the festival of Telangana women, which celebrates nature as a goddess, is celebrated grandly every year in government girl’s college and that the responsibility of continuing customs, traditions and cultural splendor lies with the students. College lecturers Murali, Seetharam, K. Sunitha, Srinivas, Praveen Kumar, Naveen Reddy, Afroz Sultana, M. Sunitha, Zabiullah, Gangaraju, Krishnaveni, Shahida and office staff and students participated in this program.
