Ensure smooth procurement of grain, District Collector Anurag Jayanti

RSD – Sircilla news: District Collector Anurag Jayanthi ordered the concerned officials to make all arrangements for the purchase of grain in the district and ensure that the collection of grain is completed smoothly. Along with Additional Collector N. Khimya Naik, a review was conducted with the officials of the relevant government departments on the purchase of grain. On this occasion, the district collector said that a total of 258 grain purchase centres are being established in the district. It is said that there is a possibility of yield of 3 lakh 50 thousand metric tons of grain. He said that 87 lakh gunny bags will be required. The collector explained that 6 thousand 634 tarpaulins, 632 paddy cleaners, 620 moisture measuring machines and 816 electronic weighing machines are available. All the farmers should take advantage of the purchase centers and not be deceived by the brokers. Farmers should bring well-dried grain as per quality standards. He said that the farmers coming to the purchase centers should bring with them the certificate from the agricultural extension officers, Aadhaar, xerox copies of the bank pass book and Pahani Pass book. The Collector directed the officials to organize the purchase centers so that the farmers do not face any difficulties. District Civil Supplies Officer Jitender Reddy, Civil Supplies Manager Jitendra Prasad, DRDO Srinivas, District Cooperation Officer Buddhanaidu, RTO Kondal Rao and others participated in the review, suggesting that the grain collected from the farmers should be loaded in vehicles and transported to the rice mills and ensure that sufficient vehicles are available.
