Give Powerloom & Textile Corporation Post to Sircilla Padmashali: Youth Association
RSD_Sircilla: The Padmashali Yuva Jana Sangham has demanded that the post of Chairman for the Telangana Powerloom and Textile Development Corporation be allocated to a person belonging to the Padmashali community from Sircilla.
Speaking on the occasion, Sangham President Sabbani Harish said that the Padmashali community has historically played a key role in the development of handloom, powerloom and textile industries in the Sircilla region.
He said that entrusting the corporation’s responsibilities to a Padmashali representative who has a thorough understanding of the sector and direct knowledge of the problems faced by workers and artisans would be more beneficial for the industry’s growth.
He urged the government to focus on resolving the issues of powerloom workers, weavers and small industry owners, creating employment opportunities for youth, making modern technology accessible, and expanding market opportunities for the textile industry.
The Sangham appealed to the Telangana government to give the corporation post to a qualified and experienced representative from the Padmashali community.
