RSD- Sardapur news: Celebrating the birth anniversary of Prajakavi Kaloji Narayana Rao in 17th Police Battalion office Sardapur.

In this program Battalion Incharge Commandant Y. Srinivas garlanded the portrait of Kaloji Narayana Rao. Later, officers and other police personnel paid their respects by placing flowers at Kaloji’s portrait.

On this occasion, Battalion In-charge Commandant Y. Srinivas said that as a poet and freedom fighter, Kaloji played a vital role in developing the culture of Telangana by using the pen as a weapon. Kaloji is famous as a writer in Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Marathi, Kannada and English languages. Kaloji was good in writing political satirical poetry. In the name of ‘Na Godava’, he responded bluntly, frankly and harshly to the contemporary social issues and gained fame as a people’s poet. He said that he has received the highest civilian award. He said that the services rendered by Prajakavi Kaloji to the field of Telugu literature are unforgettable. Public poet Kaloji Narayana Rao, who heard the people’s word through his voice, is said to be memorable.
