KGBV, SSA (CRP) and URS employees should be given equal pay for equal work
RSD- Sircilla news: As part of the protest activities being carried out in phases across the state under the TS UTF, CRTs, PG CRTs and UTF leaders protested on 28.11.2024 during the lunch break at Kasturba Gandhi Balika (KGBV) School and Urban Residential Schools in Sircilla town. Speaking on the occasion, Telangana State United Teachers Federation (UTF) District President Parkala Ravinder, District Secretaries Vanga Mallesham and Vadyaram Madhusudhan demanded that KGBV, SSA (CRPs) and URS teachers and employees be given equal pay for equal work, i.e. minimum time scale as per the Supreme Court verdict. Teachers and employees lamented that living on meager salaries is becoming a burden day by day, the prices of essential commodities are skyrocketing, and despite the increasing workload, salaries are not increasing. The TSUTF leaders protested with black badges during the lunch break, saying that the government has been providing low-wage jobs for years, that the government should immediately respond and appoint child caretakers in schools, and that the Cluster Resource Persons (CRP), who are all-round employees, and urban residential school teachers should be regularized and given minimum time scale i.e. basic pay. They said that they will take up agitation programs to solve the problems in the future.
