Saree with silver silk lace a rare invention of a handloom couple at Sircilla.

RSD- Veldi Hariprasad and his wife Rekha weaved handloom silver silk saree for the occasion of handloom day.Handloom art is still seeing rare innovations even though it is caught in the circle of many problems. In the course of social evolution, we have seen many instances where handloom artists have left an indelible mark in history with their talent. India’s handloom artists have left an indelible mark on the world with their exceptional talent. Once upon a time, we have seen cases where handloom weavers’ thumbs were cut off for their markets, unable to cope with the talent of handloom weavers in India. History is reviving many artists from amputated fingers. We all know about Velli Hariprasad, a handloom artist from Sircilla town of Rajannasircilla district. By doing many experiments in handloom, sari kept in match box and many fine art forms were invented. Veldi Hariprasad and Rekha couple has made another innovation on the hand loom with silver lace silk, along with Vemulawada shrine which is popular as Dakshina Kashi in Telangana state. Stating that the design was made after 18 days of hard work, it took two months of hard work to weave silver silk and fringed sarees. It can be said that this is the first time that silver thread silk saree has been woven to reflect the culture of Telangana. It is also worth mentioning that the establishment of a hand loom suitable for saree weaving is the first time in Sircilla in the united Karimnagar district. Handlooms of this type are found in areas like Dharmavaram and Hindupuram. The arrangement of dabis on a loom for weaving a basket on a saree looks like a tangled thread being worked with two. Along with Vemulawada Rajanna Kaman, who is popular as Dakshina Kashi, the handloom weaver Simham Ila Sircilla weaved the sari to represent the Telangana culture, said Hariprasad and Rekha. Vemulawada Kaman saree is woven 108 times on the edges of the two sides of the saree so that the figures of lion and peacock appear. 723 grams of silver as the basket comes 250 times. 497 grams of silk has been used to create the saree, which is woven on a handloom in Lord Shiva’s favorite colored threads as a mirror of the Telangana culture, which depicts the goat’s knees. The Hariprasad Rekha couple humbly said that this rare invention was made for the occasion of Handloom Day. Similar to Dharmavaram and Hindupur Pochampalli Siddipet Gollabhama sarees, this saree is designed to be unique as Sircilla Siripattu sarees. Hariprasad or the couple who made an amazing invention while striving to show the art of handloom to the world will be doing more experiments in the coming days. May we wish to leave an indelible mark on art.
