Savitri Bai Phule is the beacon of hope for the under privileged women
RSD- Siricilla news: Nyalakonda Aruna-Raghava Reddy, who was present as the chief guest in the program organized by STU RAJANNASIRICILLA at the library in the district center on 03.01.2024 to celebrate Savitribai Phule’s birthday, said that Savitribai Phule’s contribution as the first woman teacher in the country was immeasurable, and she came forward in a situation where education was not allowed in a male-dominated society and established the first girls’ school for girls and also provided a hostel facility for them to stay in. She has done great sacrifice and worked for Women empowerment without giving up despite all the pressures and threats. From that time to today, women should take her as a role model. The teachers have shown some visions for the development of the society. In this program, 50 teachers who were selected as the best district women teachers were honoured under the STU. Subsequently the STU District 2024 schedule was announced. District Library Association Chairman Akunuri Shankaraiah, District Education Officer A Ramesh Kumar, Sectoral Officers Shailaja, Padmaja, STU District President Mogili Laxman, General Secretary Sadanand, State Vice President Chatla Mallesham, District Vice President Arakuti Mallesham, Mandal Branch President Chief Secretaries Gaddam Srinivas, Prashanth, Raju,and teachers participated.
