Sircilla Protocol Row…BRS Councillor Insulted at Govt Event, Demands Suspension of Housing PD
RSD Sircilla: The Indiramma housing patta distribution program held at Sai Manikanta Function Hall in Sircilla turned controversial after a local councillor alleged protocol violation and humiliation by an official.
The event was attended by District Collector Garima Agarwal, Government Whip Adi Srinivas, Municipal Chairman and Commissioner.
According to 1st Ward BRS Councillor Boora Bala Mallu, he was officially invited to the program by Housing PD Venkata Madhava Rao as the event was in his ward limits. He alleged that when Government Whip Adi Srinivas arrived, the Housing PD asked him to get up from his chair and failed to give due respect to an elected representative.
Speaking at a press meet at Rajanna Press Club, Bala Mallu said, “I am an elected representative who won by 2,300 votes. I was humiliated worse than a common citizen. What is the point of inviting me to an official government program and then insulting me?”
He demanded that the District Collector take strict action and suspend Housing PD Venkata Madhava Rao for his behaviour.
