1000 days of waiting for a 100-day promise… BRS holds ‘Vanta Varpu’ protest in Sircilla
RSD_Sircilla: Demanding immediate implementation of the 6 guarantees and 420 promises made by the Congress government before the elections, BRS cadres launched a state-wide agitation.
On the call given by BRS Working President KTR, BRS leaders organized a ‘Vanta Varpu’ (cooking protest) and Rasta Roko at the new bus stand and Telangana Thalli Chowrasta in Sircilla town on Friday.
BRS leaders lashed out, saying that the Congress government came to power promising to implement the guarantees within 100 days, but even after 1000 days have passed, it has failed to keep its word.
Municipal Chairperson Jindam Kala participated and spoke at the program. She demanded immediate implementation of key promises such as Rs. 2500 per month for women, enhanced pensions for the elderly, widows and disabled, one tola gold under the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme, and Rythu Bharosa.
She expressed anger that the Congress government has failed in implementing the promises and is deceiving the people. A large number of BRS councilors, women leaders, and activists participated in this protest program.
