Strict action will be taken against anyone who obstructs police duties

RSD- Sircilla news: The person who assaulted the police officer was sentenced to two years imprisonment, District SP said in a statement on 15.11.2023 that Sircilla First Class Judge Praveen announced a fine of Rs.2000.

According to the prosecution story, on 28 July 2013, Sircilla Police Station received information that Muslim castes belonging to Tablik Jamaat and Sunni Jamaat were fighting in two groups in Vidyanagar of Sircilla town. The then Sircilla CI Nagendrachari went to the spot with his staff and tried to stop the fight when a man named Mohammad Taj from Sircilla threw a stone at the CI and injured his hand. The police registered a case on this incident and remanded Mohammed Taj and filed a charge sheet in the court. On behalf of the prosecution P.P while Chelumala Sandeep argued, court monitoring S.I. Court Constable Vemula Naresh produced nine witnesses in the court.

On this occasion, the SP warned that the police department is always vigilant and provides better services to the people for the maintenance of peace and security in the district, and whoever obstructs the duties of the police officers and staff, takes the law into their hands and misbehaves with the police officers and staff and disturbs the way of life, the SP warned that they will be imprisoned.
