Support price at the purchase centers,In-charge Collector Garima Agrawal

RSD-Sircilla news: In-charge Collector Garima Agrawal suggested that farmers should sell their hard earned crops at the purchase centers set up by the state government and get support price. The In-charge Collector on 08.11.2025 made a surprise inspection of the paddy purchase center set up under the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) in Balanagar under Vemulawada Municipality. First, the farmers inspected the piles of rice that they had collected at the purchase center. The farmers were asked about the facilities provided locally. Speaking on the occasion, In-charge Collector Garima Agrawal said that as per the orders of the state government, a total of 238 purchase centers have been set up in the district under the IKP, PACS, MEPMA and DCMS and so far 48,325 metric tons of paddy have been purchased. She said that the government has fixed Rs. 2389 per quintal for A grade grain and Rs. 2369 for normal type. Farmers were advised to sell their grain at the purchase centers set up near them and get support price. She instructed the managers to provide all facilities to the farmers at the purchase centers. She advised to purchase the grain with the right moisture content and transport it to the allotted rice mills. She said that if there are any difficulties, they should bring it to the attention of higher officials. District Cooperation Officer Ramakrishna, officials and purchase center managers participated in the program.
