3 years in prison for fraud in the name of a foreign job

RSD-Illanthakunta news: According to the details Battu Yellaiah of Galipalli village of Illantakunta mandal and Erravelli Bhoomayya of Vallampatla village were victimised for Rs. 71,000, promising to send them to Iraq for foreign employment. Later, instead of giving them an Iraq visa, he gave them a Dubai tourist visa and sent them to Dubai. Two months after going there, the Dubai government sent Yellaiah back to India. Realizing that he had been cheated, Yellaiah asked the accused for money and wrote a promissory note admitting that he would give the money. But when he did not give the money despite repeated requests, Yellaiah and his wife Lakshmi approached the Illantakunta police. In this regard, the Illantakunta police registered a case against Bhoomayya, sent him on remand and filed a charge sheet in the court. The court constable presented evidence in the Tirupati court and the public prosecutor Vikrant argued the case. As the crime was proven to this extent, Judge Meghana sentenced the accused to three years in prison, and a fine of Rs. 1,500, Illanthakunta SI Ashok said.
