5 year jail for accused in attempt to murder case

RSD- Vemulawada news: Assistant Sessions Court Judge Ajay Kumar Jadhav on 14.08.2025 pronounced the verdict, awarding five-year jail term and a fine of Rs. 500/- to six accused in the attempt to murder case, said Vemulawada Town CI Veera Prasad. On this occasion, the CI said that while Muttha Yellaiah of Chandragiri village and his son Sarath were ploughing their field on 25.12.2020, Desaveni Lingaiah, Desaveni Kanakaraju, Desaveni Srinivas, Desaveni Kanakavva, Desaveni Sarojana, Chokkalla Tirumallu, who were from the same village next to their land, keeping in mind the old dispute over the land, Desaveni Lingaiah, Kanakaraju, Srinivas, Kanakavva, Sarojana, Tirumallu attacked Yellaiah’s son Sarath. Sarath suffered serious blood injuries and was taken to Siricilla Hospital for treatment. Yellaiah filed a complaint at Vemulawada Police Station. The then CI Venkatesh registered a case and after investigation, the accused were arrested and a charge sheet was filed in the court. CMS SI Ravindra Naidu, Constable Madhusudhan, Court Constable Suresh presented witnesses in the court, while Additional Public Prosecutor Gouru Raji Reddy argued on behalf of the prosecution. Assistant Sessions Court Judge Ajay Kumar Jadhav, who examined the background of the case, sentenced the six accused to 05 years in prison and a fine of Rs. 500, said Vemulawada Town CI Veera Prasad. The District SP specially congratulated the then investigating officers CI Venkatesh, current CI Veera Prasad, Public Prosecutor Raji Reddy, CMS SI Ravindra Naidu, CMS Constable Madhusudan, and Court Constable Suresh, who worked hard to ensure that the accused in the case were punished.
